We wanted to take a moment to share with y’all a wonderful initiative that we at Down the Hatch are proud to be a part of. As you may know, animal overpopulation is a serious issue on Maui and many animals end up in our local shelter. We believe that every animal deserves a loving home, and we are thrilled to be working with the Maui Humane Society to help make that happen.
Recently we hosted our very first Mobile Adoption & Donation Event where the Maui Humane Society brought adoptable pets to meet potential families. We believe that by working together, we can make a positive impact on our community and help relieve the overpopulation of the shelter.
We are excited to welcome families to our restaurant and provide them with the opportunity to meet some of the wonderful pets that are looking for forever homes. We know that adopting a pet is a big decision, but it is also one of the most rewarding experiences you can have. Not only are you giving a pet a second chance at life, but you are also enriching your own life by welcoming a furry friend into your home.
We hope that this initiative will inspire our community to consider adopting or fostering a shelter animal. By working together, we can make a difference in the lives of these animals and give them the love and care they deserve.
