Down the Hatch supports local artists, during Lahaina's 2nd Friday Art Walk! Every 2nd Friday of the month, Lahaina Town is full of excitement as galleries along Front St. have open houses with artists from all over. As a local business, Down the Hatch supports up and coming artists in Maui, by giving local artists a space to showcase there work in the busy courtyard of The Wharf Cinema Center, where our restaurant is located. Artists display their art directly outside of our sister restaurant, Breakwall Shave Ice Co. There are many different kinds of artists featured; painters, photographers, sculptors, and more! Below is our line-up of artists for the rest of the year.
Each artist also will sell a painting with the proceeds going to the Lahaina Art Association Youth Outreach Program, providing art classes to the youth in our community.
