We’re turning up the heat this Valentine’s Day with a Lava Lava Shrimp Hot Sauce Competition!

RULES:

- All contestants will be required to pay a $10 contest entry fee. All contestants will also be required to fill out a liability waiver before the event.

- All participants will be given TEN individual fried shrimp, each tossed in a different sauce of increasing Scoville Heat Units (SHU) or "heat". Each "tier" of shrimp will use the same sauce batch for SHU consistency across all contestants. *All SHU levels are approximate.

- Contestants will proceed to each tier altogether at the same time. Shrimp will only be eaten when the moderator indicates that it is time to proceed to the next tier. A THREE MINUTE break will occur between each shrimp tier.

- All shrimp must be eaten with chopsticks or a fork (provided) to minimize the risk of spicy cross-contamination to the face/eyes of contestants.

- All contestants will be provided with ONE moist towel at the beginning of the contest.

- Contestants are under no obligation to finish the challenge. They are welcome to bow out at any time. Similarly, any contestant may be removed from the contest at any time at the discretion of management and/or the moderator.

- Each contestant will be provided with a glass of ice water at the beginning of the contest. They are encouraged to try to keep it to only one glass of water for the duration of the contest, but more water will be available if requested for safety reasons. Milk will also be available during the contest by request.

- Butterscotch candies, antacid, and pepto bismol will also be available by request, however. use of any of the above disqualifies the contestant from continuing the contest.

- Receptacles will also be available should the need arise to vomit.

- Each contestant may have ONE quick bathroom break during the contest. Additional bathroom breaks will be disqualifying.

Tier One: Original Lava Lava Sauce - 1,000 SHU

Tier Two: Tears of the Sun Sauce - 4,000 SHU

Tier Three: El Yucatero Red Habanero Sauce - 5,790 SHU

Tier Four: Queen Majesty Red Habanero - 9,000 SHU

Tier Five (RAMP UP ONE): Bravado Ghost Pepper Blueberry Sauce - 28,000 SHU

Tier Six: Pain 100% sauce - 40,600 SHU

Tier Seven: Zombie Apocalypse Sauce - 100,000 SHU

Tier Eight (RAMP UP TWO): Elijah's Xtreme Ghost Pepper Sauce - 500,000 SHU

Tier Nine: Hot Ones The Last Dab Sauce Reaper Edition - 2,000,000 SHU

Tier Ten: Lava Lava Sauce Lucifer's Edition - 9,000,000 SHU

THE PAYOFF:

Each contestant that completes the challenge will receive:

A) A Champions Trophy

B) A $25 DTH gift card

C) A polaroid photo of your devastated self in the immediate aftermath

Contestants who fail to complete the challenge will receive nothing but shame and ridicule.
