Down the Hatch 2nd Friday, September!

DTH-Maui will feature local artist Dani Layugan for Lahaina's 2nd Friday, starting @ 5:30 pm! See artwork from local artists every 2nd Friday at DTH Maui. 

Join us for an evening of Art & "Fresh Squeezed" cocktails, prepared by house craftsmen Adam Rio, Joshua Hopkins, & Maya Alexander. Starting at 6pm this trio will deliver a new handcrafted cocktail menu each week.  Congratulations to Adam Rio for being recognized as one of the best mixologists on Maui for the last two years!

Dani Layugan will have a piece, benefiting the Lahaina Art Association, Youth Outreach Program. Supporting local all around, join us Down the Hatch!

Artist Statement:

I've always been interested in some aspect of design, from clothing, interior decorating, welding, to cosmetology, however, after moving to Maui I found a different avenue for my creativity. My best friend's interest in painting and calligraphy encouraged me to pick up a paint brush. Ever since I have used painting as an outlet to create what I like to call "Beautifully Twisted" pieces. Living in Maui for eight years and growing up in the country I like to design with a Western Hawaiian clash getting my inspiration from my roots, and the everyday beauty we see in Maui. I've taken little bits of all my interests in hopes of combining them into one crazy, fun, and completely unique idea that I hope everyone will enjoy!
